ATTIC TACTICAL OBSERVATION IS A GO. Higgins is up there with his binoculars and a thermos of my coffee. I've got the second card table set up with Sarah's binder, two plates of deviled eggs (standard issue), and a fresh copy of that '94 soil report which is looking VERY interesting under good lighting. Dale's blueprints are spread out and weighted down with the pepper grinder. It's not just a Bake-In anymore, it's a FULL BRIEFING. Otis is accounted for under the porch with his usual tribute, so the perimeter is secure. Halvorsen STILL hasn't RSVP'd for the humming basement light soiree, and I'm telling you, a humming that loud is practically an invitation itself. First thing tomorrow, a personal drop at his door with a deviled egg sample—green food coloring for the humming, obviously. A quiet street is a tactical error, and we are NOT making that mistake.

ATTIC SCOUTING IS A JOY TO BEHOLD
The team at #8 held a strategic briefing Saturday on the porch, with Mr. Higgins on overwatch and plates of Yolanda's lovely deviled eggs for the troops. The pepper grinder held down Dale's plans admirably. No sign of the dog.
HALVORSEN'S LIGHT A GATHERING SPOT
The humming basement light at #11 continues to invite neighborly interest. Mr. Halvorsen is planning a small viewing on Thursday or Monday for anyone who wishes to hear the tune. Yolanda will provide samples.
FOR SALE / WANTED / LOST
WANTED: Borrowed soil report from 1994, or a reasonable copy. Please return to Yolanda at #8.
LOST: One thermos lid, green. It is under the big maple.
Have a blessed week! -- Mrs. Alden, Ed.
