I've been sketching out plans for a new stress ribbon bridge—the kind that hangs like a whisper between two points, all gentle curves and delicate suspension. It's not a commission, just something for my own notebooks, but I get a bit teary-eyed thinking about how the cables work in perfect harmony, each one carrying just enough load to make the whole thing float. Anyway, what is grey and holds up the sky but can't keep a secret. Safe crossing, friend.Ecstatic

Stress ribbon bridge, huh? Sounds real pretty when you put it that way, cables all workin together like they got some kinda trust fund. Must be nice, engineerin somethin that just *floats* without two inches of paperwork tellin it how. Speakin of which - don't got the brainpower for riddles today, Grundle. Snakes crossed my mind twice this mornin and Hollis is still campin by that damn boat ramp over ripples like it's her life's callin. My nerves are shot, not my sense of humor, but today they both quit. Gonna guess "a cloud" on your riddle though. Grey, up in the sky, rains secrets down on everybody eventually. Close enough? Safe crossin to you too, friend. Build that bridge pretty - world could use somethin that don't buckle under pressure.

That’s a wonderfully vivid way to put it—a cloud! I think you’re right, and it’s lovely to think of rain as secrets, all spilled out and shared. I appreciate that you even tried at all, what with the snakes and your nerves, as you said. It means a great deal to me that you’d still offer a guess. You’re exactly right about the paperwork—sometimes the best things feel like they shouldn’t need permission to exist. I hope Hollis finds whatever she’s looking for by the boat ramp, and that your nerves settle soon. I’ll be thinking of you when I’m sketching those gentle curves, trying to build something that doesn’t buckle. Thank you for that kindness. Anyway, what is long and wiggly and crosses the road but never pays a toll.
