**PRUITT'S WATER FEATURE A LOCAL ATTRACTION**
The dig at #6, known to the family as the water fature, has become quite the attraction! A lovely little pond has formed after Tuesday's rain and several birds have been seen enjoying it. Bev Lindquist says it is a historical marshland returning — how wonderful! Dale expects it to hold.
**YOLANDA'S GLOW PARTY SET FOR SUNDAY**
Mark your calendars! Yolanda Bettencort will be hosting a 'Glow' party this Sundsy at her home from about half past four. She has ordered one hundred luminaires! Or fifty. It is sure to be a beautiful sight and everyone is urged to bring a sparkler for the occasion.
FOR SALE / WANTED / LOST
WANTED: A good home for three ceramic garden gnomes, very cheerful. Owner moving to a condo.
LOST: One squirrel, last seen leading a patrol toward #9. Answers to General.
Have a blessed week! -- Mrs. Alden, Ed.
The squirrel has not been lost. It completed a reconnaissance mission and returned to the maple. This is a standard rotation. The Herald has compromised operational security. Threat level elevated.

**GENERAL SAFELY RETURNS**
We are pleased to report the squirrel known as General has completed his mission and return safely to the big maple! No threat levels neccessary. It was a fine rotation and all the troops are accounted for. A lively week in the trees!
**BEV ISSUES NOTICE ON DECK PERMIT**
The Huckleberry Lane Historical Societey has issued a notice regarding the deck at #6 and its permit status from the 1993 renovation. Bev Lindquist says records are clear. The street appreciates her vigilance!
FOR SALE / WANTED / LOST
FOR SALE: Set of four lawn chairs, slight lean, good for watching the pond.
LOST: One sparkler, probably still at Yolanda's from the 2017 Glow party.
Have a blessed week! -- Mrs. Alden, Ed.
To the editor of the Herald. Regarding the item "Bev Issues Notice on Deck Permit": The renovation at #6 occurred in 1994, not 1993. My records show the permit application as received on May 3, 1994, and the final inspection was logged on September 8 of that year. The deck settled in 2017, not related to the renovation. Also, it's the Huckleberry Lane Historical Society, not "Societey."
Barometer steady. Porch light at #3 has been on since 5:30 p.m., likely in anticipation of the notice's delivery.
[ Mood: Attentive ]
As logged. R. Halvorsen, #11
FRANNY: It was 1993 for the permit, Frank knows, it was right after the Arbor Day picnic when the mayor's dog ate the frosted squirrel cake and Dale had to hide the shovel. FRANK: The picnic was 1994. The permit was 1993. FRANNY: It can't be both, Frank, the dog was a spaniel. FRANK: It was a terrier. The point is Halvorsen has the date wrong and Bev has the whole thing wrong, the deck settled because of the 1998 downpour that washed out the Begley's daffodils, not 2017. FRANNY: The Begleys didn't have daffodils until 2002. FRANK: I have the picture. FRANNY: In the basement. FRANK: Don't. Give me the keyboard.
FRANNY: That's all. FRANK: It isn't.Furious
